Days of Our Lives’ Robert Scott Wilson Hits Special Milestone!

Days of Our Lives actor, Robert Scott Wilson recently marked a special milestone. He is celebrating 7 years of playing the role of Ben Weston on the NBC daytime drama.

The role was originated by Justin Gaston who vacated the role only months after his debut. Wilson after a run as Pete Cortlandt on All My Children took over the role of Ben making his debut on May 22, 2014. Wilson’s version of Ben brought the character to another level as a relationship with Abigail (Kate Mansi) was explored and he transformed into the necktie killer.

Of playing a serial killer, Wilson in an interview with Soap Opera Digest from 2015 shared, “I ran with it because I got what I wanted: a chance to play Ben in a total arc, taking him from one set of character traits to a completely different type of person. From an acting standpoint it was very rewarding. It was great to have some real, tangible information about Ben’s backstory, and seeing the character given more depth, no matter what direction it took.”

He vacated the role of Ben in December 2015. He returned briefly in 2016 and was later put on contract in the spring of 2017. Wilson has been with the show since and is now a reformed serial killer. He is also a part of one of daytime’s current most popular young soap pairing referred to as “CIN”.

Take a walk down memory lane and check out his debut scenes below as we celebrate 7 years of Rob Wilson and Ben Weston. Here’s to many, many more to come.
